We can remember our first cup of Donut Shop coffee at the Northeastern Hotel and Diner in Northern Maine. It was nutty, sweet, and had a bit of a raspy feel to it in the throat. We'll also never forget how wired we felt after consuming nearly 5 cups. Coffee People makes great coffees (we really like their Black Tiger Bold), and most of them are on the extra-bold side. We were surprised to hear about the Donut Shop Coffee K Cups coming from Coffee People, because we think of Donut Shop coffee as a bit on the milder side, and very rich with Arabica infused taste.
How does Coffee People tackle this cup of classic american coffee? Is it mild? Or is it bold? How does it stack up against the other Coffee People K Cups out there?

First and foremost, the Coffee People Donut Shop Coffee is more on the medium to mild side, with a hint of extra bold flavor. It's very low in acid, and the raspy throat often accompanied by other Donut Shop Coffees is not present here. There is a nice flavor in the mouth after having a few sips, and the caffeine amount seems spot on.

Aroma - 8 - very modest
Acidity - 9 - low acid and very balanced to the coffee
Body - 7 - we wish there was a little more here
Flavor - 7 - it's good, just nothing amazing - but we like the hint of extra bold flavor
Mouth Feel - 8 - light but seems to match the name of the roast
Coffee Drinker - Light to Medium roast coffee drinker
